New AESI Dashboards Now Available on the CEPI Vaccine Safety Intelligence (CVSI) Platform

SPEAC has launched a new set of dashboards on the CEPI Safety Vaccine Intelligence platform (CVSI), continuing efforts to translate established vaccine safety standards into practical, digital tools.

About the Platform

The CVSI platform serves as a centralized environment for SPEAC-developed tools, and other vaccine development and safety data, bringing together resources that support vaccine safety monitoring, evidence review, and analysis. It is designed to make vaccine and vaccine safety informationmore accessible and easier to apply across clinical development and post-licensure settings.

From Framework to Application

These new dashboards are build on the Brighton Collaboration’s Case Definitions and Companion Guides framework [which provides harmonized diagnostic criteria for classifying adverse events of special interest (AESIs)].

As part of SPEAC’s digital transformation work, Companion Guides are being translated into interactive dashboards that allow users to explore and synthesize evidence more efficiently.

Each dashboard consolidates published data from:

  • Clinical trials
  • Epidemiological studies
  • Post-marketing surveillance
  • Global pharmacovigilance systems
  • Case reports

Available Dashboards

Dashboards are currently available for:

  • Anaphylaxis
  • Guillain-Barré Syndrome
  • Generalized convulsive seizures
  • Thrombocytopenia

A dashboard for acute intraocular inflammation will be added soon.

Supporting Evidence Review for Decision-Making

By structuring diverse data sources within a single interface, these dashboards are intended to support investigators, regulators, and public health professionals in reviewing and interpreting safety data.

This work reflects a broader shift toward operationalizing Brighton Collaboration standards through digital systems, enabling more consistent application in research and regulatory workflows.

Access

The dashboards are available through the CVSI platform.
